General terms and conditions of contract (GTCC) AOSI

Introduction

These general conditions govern the relationship between the Association of Friends of the OSI (hereinafter AOSI) and its members. They are an integral part of all contracts entered into with AOSI. Acceptance of these general conditions is presumed from the moment the customer expresses interest in joining the Association.

Adhesion

Membership in AOSI is considered effective from the moment the respective fee is paid based on the desired membership level.

Right of withdrawal

The payment of the fee is to be considered final. The AOSI Committee may, in special cases, decide on any refunds.

Responsibility

In case of participation in activities proposed by AOSI (open trials, trips, other), AOSI is responsible for any damages suffered by visitors only in case of negligent or intentional violation of contractual obligations by its employees and assistants. AOSI does not assume any responsibility for consequential damages or loss of profits. The liability for damages to life, limbs, and health remains unaffected.

Special conditions for donations

The donation, if not burdened by explicitly expressed charges, is considered accepted upon completion of the economic transaction. The donation can be revoked in cases provided by law, specifically under art. 249 of the Swiss Code of Obligations.

Applicable law and competent court

These general conditions are subject exclusively to Swiss law and for any dispute the legal venue is Lugano.
